Will I receive documentation for my service hours?

What time should I arrive for my shift?

Please arrive 15–20 minutes before your scheduled shift to allow time for check-in, instructions, and role assignments.

Where do volunteers check in?

Accepted Answer

Volunteers should report to the designated Volunteer Check-In Area upon arrival. The exact location and additional arrival instructions will be provided before the event.

How long is the volunteer commitment?

Volunteers are encouraged to serve for at least two hours. Flexible shifts are available depending on the volunteer role. If the available shift times do not work for you, email community@huntsvilleblockparty.com to discuss other options.

Can I choose my volunteer role?

Yes. During sign-up, you may indicate your preferred volunteer role. We will do our best to honor your preference, but final assignments will be based on event needs and staffing priorities.

Question 6

What should I wear?

Dress for hot outdoor weather. Lightweight, breathable clothing and closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended. Please also consider wearing a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Volunteer lanyards will be provided and should be worn throughout your shift.

What should I do if I can no longer volunteer?
